Dr. McGinley is trying to encourage use of studios in both new high schools and has asked students to come up with 5 productions this year for each high school. This lead into a discussion about the studio and as one community member commented, 'wasted resources' with given the incredible facilities at each of the new high schools. Gilbert commented that Kugel (curriculum chair) was interested and working on developing broadcast jouralism courses and had been in discussions with her about such curriculum offerings which is a priority.

Gilbert asked that tickets be provided for both events. Young indicated there may be some tension within the Harriton community regarding the event. Community member viewed event as an opprotunity for the entire LMSD community.

Dear Marie Beresford, I read your independent notes of the LMSD Communications meeting. I want to inform you and your readers that the School District channel is NOT Public Access. Under the federal Communications Act and the local Franchise Agreement, there are three non-commercial channels that are provided by the cable operators. They are known as the PEG channels. P stands for Public Access managed by the residents and viewed on Comcast 99 and Verizon 34. E stands for Education Access managed by the Lower Merion School District and viewed on Comcast 6 and Verizon 36. G stands for Government Access managed by the Township of Lower Merion and viewed on Comcast 7 and Verizon 37. Our organization, Lower Merion and Narberth Public Access Television, represents the P.
